DIY *Easy* Juicing

Who would've thought! You don't need a juicer to juice! There are so many benefits behind vegetable juice, but is it really worth spending hundreds of dollars on a juicer and way too much time cleaning it? Eh, not for me. So here we go: DIY juicing!

Now, I had a boatload of celery that was slowly going bad. Yes, I LOVE celery, but not enough to eat an entire pack by myself. I'd say I had about 3/4 of a Trader Joe's bag to use for this juice and half a bag of baby carrots. I also had leftover coffee filters from being a recruitment counselor...*coffee filters are great as blotting tissues!!*.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Blender

  • Veggie

  • Coffee filters or nut milk bag if you want to be fancy

  • 1/2 Water (for one batch; add as needed)

Yes, thats it! In regards to the nut milk bag: technically it is more effective, but it is also expensive. You can find a bag of around 200 coffee filters for only $1 at the Dollar Tree! Save your money for the vegetables.

Here's how to do it:

1. Slice 2 stalks or a handful of the veggies into 1 inch pieces

2. Put the veggies into the blender, add water, and blend

3. Pour mix into a coffee filter over a bowl and squeeze out the juice

4. Repeat until you have the desired amount

5. Refrigerate and enjoy!

Too easy to be true? I would've agreed before I tried it, but WOW! It really is that easy. Although it does take a lot of veggies, it allows you to enjoy the few pieces that you'd like, and use the rest instead of throwing it out.

Now get juicin' and enjoy!

xoxo,

SKY
